I've been thinking a lot lately about the way Ryan's character has changed, particularly the way he's been painted this season, so naturally, I wrote up a detailed explanation of how I view him within the context of his hipster artist persona. There's a lot of conjecture and references to the way his photography relates to artistic canon, but I'd really love to hear what other people have to say, whether that's "OMG YOU'RE READING WAY TOO MUCH INTO THIS~" or just your thoughts on his character.

Cap by potthead.
Spoilers for all seasons. |

| New movie role for Julian? |

Julian McMahon sees "Red"
Julian McMahon, Ernest Borgnine, Richard Dreyfuss and Brian Cox are in negotiations to join the all-star cast of "Red," Summit's adaptation of the Wildstorm/DC Comics miniseries being directed by Robert Schwentke.
"Red" tells the tale of a former black ops agent (Bruce Willis), now in retirement, who has to contend with younger, more high-tech assassins who show up to kill him.
McMahon would play a Vice President with a dark side who is at the center of a shadow conspiracy.
The actors join a cast that includes Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John C. Reilly and Mary Louise Parker.
Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian are producing, while DC's Gregory Noveck exec produces with Jake Myers. Jon and Erich Hoeber wrote the script. The film is scheduled to begin shooting early next year.
McMahon is best known for starring in FX's "Nip/Tuck." The actor, repped by UTA and ROAR, also played Dr. Doom in Fox's "Fantastic Four" movies.

UK fans will want to tune into the Jonathon Ross show tonight on BBC1 at 10.35 as our darling Gerry is making an appearance :) For anyone outside the UK, I'm sure someone will be putting it online somewhere! (I'd do it myself but LJ is about as technical as I get...)
